Terms of Service

1. The Basics

When you use Chunklink, you're entering into an agreement with Lukas Braach. By creating an account or using our service, you're agreeing to these terms.

2. Your Account

Creating an Account

You need a Microsoft account to use Chunklink (since we use Microsoft OAuth for authentication). You're responsible for keeping your account secure. If someone else uses your account, that's on you.

Age Requirements

You need to be at least 16 years old to use Chunklink. If you're younger, please have a parent or guardian create the account and supervise your use. This is not just a legal requirement — it's about keeping everyone safe.

3. Your Minecraft Server

What You Get

When you subscribe, you get a Minecraft server hosted on our infrastructure. It's yours to configure and play on. You own all your worlds, player data, and server configurations.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited when using Chunklink:

• Using your server for any illegal purposes or activities
• Attempting to hack, attack, or compromise our infrastructure or other users' servers
• Abusing the service to mine cryptocurrency or run non-gaming workloads
• Harassing other users or operating servers that promote hate speech, violence, or illegal activities
• Reselling or redistributing our service without explicit permission
• Intentionally overloading our systems or violating our fair use policy

Violations of these prohibitions may result in immediate service suspension and account termination without refund.

Fair Use

Our pricing is based on typical Minecraft server usage patterns. If your server consistently uses excessive CPU resources or bandwidth beyond normal gaming activity, we will contact you to discuss your usage and find an appropriate solution.

4. Payments & Billing

Pricing

Prices are listed on our pricing page. Currently, we offer a monthly subscription model. All prices include VAT where applicable.

Free Trial

We offer a free trial so you can test the service. Once the trial ends, you'll need to add a payment method to keep your server running. If you don't, your server gets paused (not deleted — we keep your data for a reasonable time).

Subscriptions

Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store your credit card details — they handle all of that securely.

Refunds & Right of Withdrawal

Right of Withdrawal

Under EU consumer law, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. For digital services, this right expires as soon as you begin using the service. By completing your purchase you explicitly consent to immediate access and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal expires once you start a Minecraft server for the first time under that purchase.

How to Request a Refund

Email support@chunklink.dev with subject line "Refund Request — [your order ID]". We will respond within 3 business days. Refunds are processed by our payment provider Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

In any case, we want to make sure you are happy with your purchase. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

5. Service Availability

Chunklink is built on solid, professional infrastructure. That said, things can break. Servers can go down. Updates can cause issues. We will do our best to keep things running smoothly and communicate when there are problems.

No guarantees of 100% uptime. If you need five-nines reliability, you probably need enterprise hosting, not indie Minecraft hosting.

6. Your Data

Ownership

Your Minecraft worlds, player data, and configurations are yours. Period.

Backups

We automatically backup your server data, but you're responsible for keeping your own backups too. Seriously, download your worlds regularly. Things can go wrong.

Data Deletion

If you delete your account or your subscription expires, we'll keep your data for 2 years in case you change your mind. After that, it's gone. Make sure you've downloaded everything you want to keep.

7. Liability & Disclaimers

Chunklink is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

• Data loss (again: keep your own backups!)
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Issues caused by third-party services (Minecraft, payment providers, hosting providers)
• Indirect or consequential damages

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 3 months. This is standard and necessary for running a sustainable service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may need to update these terms occasionally. When we do, we will update the version number and effective date at the top. For major changes, we will email you at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the service means you accept the new terms.

9. Termination

You can stop using Chunklink anytime by canceling your subscription. We can terminate your account if you violate these terms. If we do that for reasons other than your violation, we will refund you for any unused time on your subscription.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by German law. Any disputes will be handled in German courts. This service operates from Germany.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision.
