Your friends don't need a Chunklink account. Only the server owner has one, for billing and management. Everyone else just joins.
Joining in three steps
- Copy your server address from the dashboard.
- Your friends open Minecraft, go to Multiplayer → Add Server, and paste the address.
- Play.
That's the whole process. The address stays the same for the lifetime of your server, so friends add it once and reconnect whenever they like.
What players need
Minecraft, on Java or Bedrock. Java players join from a computer; Bedrock players join from phones, tablets, or the Windows 10/11 edition. Everyone uses the same address.
Consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch) don't let you enter a server address themselves. Our Chunklink app puts your server in the console's LAN games list so it can join anyway. Here are all the details: Java and Bedrock together.
How many can join
Every plan includes 20 player slots — enough for most friend groups and small communities while keeping the game smooth and predictable for everyone.
Nobody online?
Your server doesn't need to run around the clock. It starts automatically when someone connects and pauses again when it has been empty for a while. No one has to start or stop anything; the first person to join just waits a moment while the world comes up.
